Griffiths is working to tighten his grip on Dzhumagaliev's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dzhumagaliev has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Griffiths is really squeezing tight and eventually Dzhumagaliev passes out! Griffiths breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullivan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vilenius pinned against the cage. Vilenius gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Vilenius connects with a nice looking jab.
The fighters circle momentarily. Vilenius darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Vilenius works the jab nicely.
Sullivan tries to close the distance and clinch but Vilenius swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Vilenius thuds a left hand into Sullivan's body.
Sullivan tries to land a front kick but Vilenius steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Sullivan gets caught flat footed, as Vilenius shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vilenius prevents Sullivan from getting back to his feet.
Vilenius is in close to Sullivan's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Vilenius looking to sit in guard and control but Sullivan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Vilenius scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Sullivan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vilenius, pushing him back against the cage.
Vilenius misses with a hook from the clinch.
Vilenius pushes Sullivan back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Sullivan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vilenius gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Asko Vilenius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Sullivan.
Sullivan's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

and Vilenius counters with a right hand to the body.
Vilenius lands an overhand right.
Vilenius throws a lazy right hand but Sullivan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sullivan throws a lazy head kick
and Vilenius connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sullivan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vilenius's waist but Vilenius gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sullivan off to one side.
Vilenius tries to counter with a takedown but Sullivan is quick to defend against it.
Sullivan is still on wobbly legs! Can Vilenius finish him?
Sullivan closes the distance but Vilenius moves to the side
and Vilenius counters with a left to the body.
Sullivan seems to have recovered his senses.
Sullivan looks winded!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sullivan takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Vilenius scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Vilenius shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sullivan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sullivan is working to avoid the ground and pound but Vilenius connects with a decent elbow.
Vilenius looks up at the clock and then as Sullivan takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Vilenius smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
A big shot lands for Vilenius! That's hurt Sullivan! Will he recover? Vilenius fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Asko Vilenius!

A very excited looking Asko Vilenius made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
