Elastinen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Cascada - Dangerous. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 10 wins and 2 losses; Michael Blake! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 3 losses; Erkki Elastinen!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Phil Schofield.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Elastinen gets tackled into the cage by Blake. Blake maintains the clinch.

Elastinen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Blake manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Elastinen has Blake in his guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Blake's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Blake's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Elastinen is holding on here and Blake must be using up a lot of energy. Elastinen has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Blake gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 5 losses; Malakai Semerkhet!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Nada shoots in looking for a takedown but Semerkhet manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nada's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Semerkhet tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nada is defended easily by Semerkhet.
Semerkhet changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Nada misses with a takedown attempt - Semerkhet sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Semerkhet feints the counter takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Nada. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nada tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Semerkhet defends well and Nada ends up having to push Semerkhet into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Semerkhet paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Nada - great work!
