The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blazusiak leaves Pilon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pilon tries for a takedown but Blazusiak sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Pilon doesn't manage to clinch there - Blazusiak circles away.
Pilon shoots in looking for a takedown but Blazusiak manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pilon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
