0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Otavio Martins! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martins misses with a hook to the body
and Lopez counters with a leg kick. Lopez looks to land a left hand but Martins moved out of range nicely. A looping hook to the body misses from Martins. Lopez does a little dance to reset his feet. Martins takes a swing at Lopez's ribcage but misses. Martins misses with an uppercut
and Lopez counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Lopez moves out of range as Martins strikes. Martins swings away with a body shot that misses
and Lopez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A decent looking cross lands there for Lopez. Martins throws a jab but it's blocked by Lopez. Martins tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lopez defends well and Martins ends up having to push Lopez into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Lopez avoids the body shot from Martins.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lopez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Martins throws out the jab. Lopez lands with a good body shot. Martins takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Martins on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Lopez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Martins counters with a straight right hand. Martins throws a hook to the side of Lopez's head but Lopez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Lopez moves out of range as Martins strikes. Lopez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Martins. Martins throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lopez counters with a nice body shot. Lopez throws a predictable looking body shot

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lopez ducks under a wild hook from Martins. Martins looks to score with a jab to the body but Lopez is just out of range. Nice defenses there by Lopez. Lopez darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Martins misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lopez.
Martins has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Martins there as he acknowledges the shot. Martins looks to land a right hand but Lopez moved out of range. Lopez looks to land a combination but Martins avoids it well. Martins slips under a jab. Martins's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Martins duly obliges. Lopez is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Cruz Lopez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Martins doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Lopez dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Martins. That did some damage! Martins throws a jab but it's blocked by Lopez. Lopez ducks under a wild hook from Martins.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martins takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Martins throws a big shot that misses. Martins looks to score with a jab to the body but Lopez is just out of range. Lopez throws a quick inside leg kick. Lopez throws a nice outside leg kick. A shot to the liver by Lopez. Beautiful body shot. A jab from Lopez does it's job there. Lopez throws the kick towards the body but Martins avoids it. Lopez is looking to wear down Martins with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Martins takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Lopez throws a body shot but no joy. Martins feints the counter takedown. Lopez swings for the body but Martins moves out of range.
Martins misses with a right hand and Lopez counters with a slapping leg kick. Nice shot lands for Lopez. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Martins misses with a body punch
and Lopez counters with a stiff right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Martins has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Lopez. Lopez looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Lopez feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Martins's calf. Lopez swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Martins. Martins's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. A decent looking body kick lands there for Lopez. Martins walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

and Lopez counters with a huge right that knocks Martins out cold! Lopez is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cruz Lopez! An out of breath Cruz Lopez thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Darmody rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hands cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Darmody has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Darmody throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Hands to counter with a crisp jab. Hands jabs at Darmody's body. Darmody misses with a double jab

and Hands counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Darmody misses with a double jab
and Hands connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hands connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Darmody takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Hands lunges at Darmody with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Darmody's hand. Hands lands a nice shot to the body.
Hands lands with a good body shot. Darmody takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Hands closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hands controls the position. Darmody tries to get back to half guard but can't. Darmody wants to get back to his feet but Hands drags him back down. Darmody is not content to let Hands control the position. A lull in the action here. Darmody holds on to Hands's head and controls the position momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. You can see the frustration on Darmody's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Darmody misses with a double jab
and Hands counters with a left to the body. Hands is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Darmody throws a combination that misses and Hands connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Darmody throws a series of punches but Hands moves out of range. and Hands counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Hands connects with a crisp jab. Hands is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Darmody takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Mickey Darmody seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hands misses the shot to the body. Hands ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Darmody moves away. Darmody looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Hands wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Hands lands with a nice body punch. Hands's corner calls for a 1-2. Hands obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Hands scores with a crisp jab that stopped Darmody in his tracks. Hands scores with a jab to the body. Darmody takes a body punch but keeps moving. Darmody takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Darmody is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Darmody stuffs the takedown attempt from Hands. Hands gets slowly back to his feet. Darmody lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Darmody is still on wobbly legs! Can Hands finish him? Darmody leaves Hands with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Darmody seems to have recovered his senses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hands scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Hands misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Darmody.

and Hands counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Hands cracks Darmody with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Darmody throws a right hand that misses
and Hands counters with a huge left! Darmody is in big trouble! He's backing up but Hands isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Darmody from any more damage. A dominating finish by Hands!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pillow Hands! Pillow Hands took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Hope my hands tasted damn good, because you won't be able to eat anything else for a while!'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamaguchi throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jacquard's head. A big left from Jacquard misses. Yamaguchi wants to clinch up but Jacquard keeps it at a distance. Yamaguchi connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jacquard's hands. Good shot there by Yamaguchi. Yamaguchi lets loose with a powerful body kick. Jacquard will feel that in the morning. Jacquard scores with the left hand. Yamaguchi knows he should have avoided that one. Jacquard looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Jacquard looks to throw the jab but Yamaguchi is out of range. Yamaguchi misses with a low kick. Yamaguchi misses with a straight right. Jacquard looks to throw the jab but Yamaguchi is out of range. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jacquard will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Yamaguchi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jacquard. Yamaguchi throws a hook but Jacquard avoids it easily. Jacquard is looking to land body kicks. Yamaguchi was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Jacquard throws a chopping leg kick but Yamaguchi manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Jacquard is looking to chop away at Yamaguchi's legs. Jacquard slips a straight right by Yamaguchi. Yamaguchi throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Jacquard throws out a counter right but Yamaguchi avoids it with no problem. Yamaguchi blocks the body kick.

and Jacquard counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Yamaguchi misses with a looping left. Yamaguchi uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Jacquard uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Yamaguchi. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Yamaguchi throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Jacquard cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kai Yamaguchi will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamaguchi avoids a lazy jab quite easily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice straight punches there by Yamaguchi. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Yamaguchi. Jacquard throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Yamaguchi throwing a counter right hand but Jacquard manages to avoid it. Nice body punch from Yamaguchi. Jacquard misses with a low kick. A nice leg kick lands there from Yamaguchi. Yamaguchi throws an overhand right that lands on Jacquard's shoulder, as Jacquard tries to avoid the shot. Yamaguchi misses with a right hand and Jacquard counters with a low kick, right behind Yamaguchi 's knee. An inside leg kick from Yamaguchi misses. Yamaguchi takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Yamaguchi swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jacquard counters with a body kick. Crunch! Jacquard slams his shin into Yamaguchi's torso. Jacquard throws a jab when Yamaguchi was well out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Springfield shoots in looking for a takedown but Lovelair manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Springfield's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Lovelair chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Springfield can pounce on him.

Lovelair tries to bum rush Springfield with a series of wild strikes but Springfield uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Springfield lets loose with a powerful body kick. Lovelair will feel that in the morning. Lovelair throws a sloppy head kick and Springfield moves out of range easily. Springfield tries a quick counter leg kick but Lovelair is wise to it. Lovelair misses with an uppercut. Springfield saw that one coming. Lovelair rushes Springfield and presses him up against the cage. Springfield just leaning against Lovelair, taking a breather.
