The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vart tries to score with a low kick but Mainit moves his leg out of the way.

Mainit looks for a takedown but Vart sprawls well.

Mainit gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Vart to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Mainit has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vart can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Vlay changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spack tries to avoid it but Vlay manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spack to the ground. Spack escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vlay shoots for a takedown but Spack saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Grape shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Grape connects with a nice short shot to Bishop's temple.
Grape thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Grape looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bishop with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svensson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Harnick paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Harnick is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Svensson can't fight it off and eventually Harnick manages to take the fight to the floor. Svensson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
