These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Crayewski jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Maia moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Crayewski throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Maia counters by moving into the clinch.
Crayewski working hard to break the clinch.
Maia lands with a left to the head.
Maia holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Maia has Crayewski pressed against the cage, preventing Crayewski from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Crayewski wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Maia.
Maia lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Crayewski is looking to break free of the clinch but Maia has double underhooks.
Maia tries to throw a body punch but Crayewski avoids it by throwing Maia back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alex Maia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maia closes the distance but Crayewski moves to the side

and Crayewski counters with a straight right that drops Maia on his ass! Maia jumps back to his feet. He seems OK to continue so we'll get back to the action.

It looks like Alex Maia has been cut.

Maia throws a lazy uppercut
and Crayewski counters with a big uppercut that drops Maia face first to the mat! Will he beat the count?! He's struggled up to his knees on 7 but it doesn't look like he's going to make it... he's been counted out! This fight is all over!

A clash of legs there as Witika blocks the low kick.
It seemed like Witika was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Singh closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Witika crashing to the mat! Witika uses the cage to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!

It looks like Sione Witika has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Singh is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Witika.
A chopping leg kick lands by Singh.
Singh throws a low kick, looking for Witika's leg but Witika calmly moves out of range.
Singh fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Singh swings away with a body shot that misses
and Witika counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Singh gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Witika cracks Singh with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Singh is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Singh is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Singh could not beat the count!
