Metso looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Newton with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

I was talking to Newton's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Newton drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Newton jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Metso has his foot on Newton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Newton works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
