Mahmahdulla takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Shakib Mahmahdulla has been cut.
Ritter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mahmahdulla moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Shakib Mahmahdulla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mahmahdulla lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Mahmahdulla uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ritter.
Ritter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mahmahdulla circles away.
A countering left hand to the body from Mahmahdulla misses.

Ritter was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ritter looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Ritter and Mahmahdulla goes tumbling to the canvas! Ritter follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ritter lands a nice short elbow.

Mahmahdulla is rocked!

That has opened up Shakib Mahmahdulla's cut even more.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
