The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shamarov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. John manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Shamarov is fighting to break John's control of his arms but John is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

John has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Shamarov is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Cenk John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shamarov throws a series of punches but John avoids them all with ease.

The fighters circle, before John throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Shamarov's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! John lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ronny Hilfiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Travis Jordan struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 187.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Jordan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Jordan takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jordan drops his hands momentarily and Hilfiger takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hilfiger scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Hilfiger lands a jab to the nose.

Hilfiger rushes Jordan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Hilfiger creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Jordan's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Jordan drops to his knees and Hilfiger pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Sadewo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

We've been hearing good reports from Leite's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
