Kendrik Down seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Down closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Van Der Sluijs quickly recovers to half guard.

Van Der Sluijs manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Down keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
