The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hairston swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hairston misses with a few strikes there.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hairston crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hadry - the referee stops the clock and Hairston gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hadry. Hairston manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Will Hairston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hadry bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hadry is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Hairston rolls with it to try and escape but Hadry cranks on the arm and Hairston is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mika Ronnel.
Well Ibrahim has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gus McKenna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Angle Kurtis!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurtis takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Angle Kurtis has been cut.
Kurtis closes the distance and clinches up with McKenna, looking for a takedown. Kurtis pushes McKenna against the cage but McKenna circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McKenna connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
McKenna comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
McKenna defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kurtis.
McKenna looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Kurtis shoots and misses
and McKenna counters with a stiff right hand.
Gus McKenna has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Angle Kurtis.
Kurtis shoots for a takedown but McKenna saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kurtis looks winded!
Kurtis takes one to the chin there.

That has opened up Angle Kurtis's cut even more.
Kurtis looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
McKenna is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Kurtis flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kurtis is out cold! McKenna holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gus McKenna!
Angle Kurtis spoke after the fight, saying 'I'll be back'.
