Le throws a head kick but Cannon moves out of range.

Cannon feints and as Le raises his hands in defense, Cannon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Le wants to control the position but Cannon says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Cannon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Le for as long as he can get away with.

Pajulahti changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pontes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Pontes takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

It looks like Hugo Pontes has been cut.
Pajulahti cracks Pontes with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Pajulahti grinds an elbow into Pontes's temple.

Hugo Pontes's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gideon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Connor's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Oliver Gideon will probably get the nod.

Connor turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Connor manages to end up in side control.
Connor is looking to take a break and control but Gideon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Connor tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Connor has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
