Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevaughn Aldridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Colombu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aldridge kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Smooth Criminal By Michael Jackson. The key to victory for Kevaughn Aldridge has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldridge throws a sloppy head kick and Colombu moves out of range easily.

Colombu moves into range and clinches up with Aldridge.
I was talking to Aldridge's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Colombu is trying to drag Aldridge to the mat but Aldridge just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Colombu is trying to trip Aldridge. He has hold of a leg but Aldridge is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Colombu persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Colombu distracts Aldridge with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Colombu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aldridge swivels though and keeps the full guard.
