The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diego manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Maslow manages to get himself to full guard.

Maslow trying to keep a closed guard but Diego is proving a slippery customer.
Maslow will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Diego is fighting to break Maslow's control of his arms but Maslow is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Diego got a little sloppy there for a moment and Maslow has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Diego has managed to get both his arms back between Maslow's legs - danger averted.

Maslow has his foot on Diego's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Diego works his way back into a safe position though.
Diego is pushing down on Maslow's leg trying to pass to half guard. Maslow is fighting to maintain full guard but Diego has managed to sneak the leg through.
Maslow has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Diego is working away from the top position though.
Diego tries to pass the half guard into mount. Maslow knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

A close second round but Dom Diego will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Maslow is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Diego is defended easily by Maslow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Good leg kick by Maslow there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Maslow.
Diego throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Diego thuds a left hand into Maslow's body.
Maslow throws a leg kick that is checked

and Diego counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Maslow!
Diego wants to control but Maslow is keeping him busy.
Maslow gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Maslow is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Diego lands a nice short elbow.
Maslow moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Diego throws an elbow that misses. Maslow uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Diego's guard. Nice move by Maslow!

Diego is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Maslow frees his head nicely. Oh but Diego has switched to an armbar! Maslow is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
