Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, ObiWan Kenobi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rupert Pink!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Francis DeMontford and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pink defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kenobi.
Pink will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kenobi takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Kenobi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pink swivels and escapes.
Kenobi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
ObiWan Kenobi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pink keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

It looks like ObiWan Kenobi has been cut.
Pink fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kenobi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pink tries to avoid it but Kenobi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pink to the ground. Pink escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for ObiWan Kenobi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A combination from Pink does no damage.
Kenobi fails with a takedown attempt.
Pink unleashes a big counter combination but Kenobi bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Pink comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kenobi gets cracked there but stands up to it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kenobi has a takedown stuffed.
Kenobi goes for a double leg but Pink avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pink continues to drive forward.
A jab from Pink does it's job there.

Kenobi is rocked!
Pink is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Kenobi flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kenobi is out cold! Pink holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rupert Pink!
During a confident post fight interview, Rupert Pink thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.

Acosta wants to land a leg kick but Birmbaum is out of range.
Acosta misses with a body shot.
Birmbaum with the counter takedown but Acosta avoids it easily.
Acosta throws a solid leg kick but Birmbaum takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Acosta .
Birmbaum fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Acosta manages to avoid it.
Birmbaum misses with a body shot.
Birmbaum takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Acosta throws an overhand right that lands on Birmbaum's shoulder, as Birmbaum tries to avoid the shot.
Acosta shoots in but Birmbaum avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Birmbaum swings for the body but Acosta moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Acosta keeps the fight on the outside.
Birmbaum will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Birmbaum bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Birmbaum ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Acosta moves away.
Birmbaum displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Acosta throws out the jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Birmbaum fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Birmbaum tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Acosta defends well and Birmbaum ends up having to push Acosta into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Alcides Acosta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chance Birmbaum.
Birmbaum shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Acosta as he jumps to the side.

Birmbaum fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Acosta , pushing him back against the cage.
Acosta is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Birmbaum just leaning against Acosta , taking a breather.
Acosta tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Birmbaum's elbow.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Acosta misses with the head strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Birmbaum changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Acosta fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Birmbaum misses the shot to the body.
Birmbaum looks to clinch

and Acosta counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Acosta .
Birmbaum can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Acosta controls the pace.

Birmbaum pushes a forearm under Acosta 's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Acosta is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Chance Birmbaum!
A relieved looking Chance Birmbaum thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
