2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, BJ Smith! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! BJ with a lazy takedown attempt
and Smith holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Smith looking to throw knees to the head but BJ is blocking nicely.
Smith jumps guard and drags BJ to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Smith avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. BJ wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving. BJ working some strikes from top position. BJ has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Smith looking to sweep here. No luck so far. BJ throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Smith works some decent striking defense from the bottom. BJ stopping the sweep attempt from Smith. That was a close second round but I would say that Jay Dee BJ will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

BJ had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Smith defends it easily. Smith in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Smith working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith throws an elbow that misses. BJ uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Smith's guard. Nice move by BJ!

You can see the frustration on Smith's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. BJ Smith has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! BJ landing a few strikes. BJ has hold of Smith's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Smith tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - BJ cranks the arm and Smith screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Smith, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buddy Brandon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ezekiel Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Brandon might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to All Summer Long. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brandon misses with a double jab.
Hughes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Brandon appears to be looking for a big counter. Hughes misses the shot to the body.
Hughes clinches up against the cage. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Hughes just misses with a elbow thrown towards Brandon's brow.
Brandon has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hughes regains guard immediately.
Brandon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Hughes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brandon throws a sloppy head kick and Hughes moves out of range easily. Hughes changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Brandon shoots in for a takedown but Hughes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Brandon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hughes tries to counter with a clinch but Brandon shakes him off and moves away. Buddy Brandon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hughes stuffs the takedown attempt from Brandon. Brandon gets slowly back to his feet.

and Hughes makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Hughes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Ezekiel Hughes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Brandon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hughes.

That was a close second round but I would say that Buddy Brandon will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Brandon lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Brandon. Hughes throws a combination that misses and Brandon counters with a one-two to the body. Brandon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hughes is fending him off so far but Brandon persists. Nope, Hughes circles away and we're back to standing. Horrible takedown attempt by Brandon or perhaps it was just good defense by Hughes, which made it look bad. Hughes throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Brandon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hughes counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buddy Brandon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Good leg kick by Brandon there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Brandon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A left and a right from Brandon both land. Nice combination. Buddy Brandon is winning the standup battle so far.

Hughes feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Brandon sprawling to the canvas! Brandon rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hughes finish him?!
 Brandon is rocked! Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Hughes throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Brandon is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ezekiel Hughes! Ezekiel Hughes tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

Butcher ducks under a wild hook from Datsik. Datsik swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Datsik looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Datsik looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Butcher blocking the ground and pound attempt from Datsik. Butcher is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Butcher is still trying to improve position. Butcher has hold of Datsik's hands but Datsik slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Butcher tries to land a front kick but Datsik steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Dan Butcher is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A slapping body kick lands there for Butcher. Datsik tries a head kick but it misses.
Datsik connects with a body shot. Butcher throws a series of punches but Datsik moves out of range. Datsik lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
 Butcher is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Butcher walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Datsik! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wooten feints a jab promting Grossman to slip. Wooten then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Grossman slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Wooten stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wooten wants it to stay on the feet. Wooten misses with a two punch combination.
Wooten throws a right hand that Grossman ducks under and follows up with a left that Grossman also avoids with ease. No joy there for Wooten, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Grossman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wooten looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Grossman working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wooten can do anything to dispel that myth. Grossman tries to advance to mount but Wooten denies him.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Laane lands a nice uppercut. Brandon taking a breather. Laane is defending well against a takedown attempt. Brandon wants a takedown.
Laane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Laane fails to land with a series of punches.
A combination from Laane does no damage. Laane lands a head kick. Brandon smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Brandon pushes Laane up against the cage in a clinch. Laane using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Brandon has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Andrus Laane is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Brandon takes a shot to the head.

9 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeff Li! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hughes tries to move into range but Li moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. The crowd cheers as Li lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hughes doesn't seem phased though. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Li. Li fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hughes was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Li misses with a wild combination.

Li throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hughes throws a quick counter head kick but Li was just out of range. Li tries to bum rush Hughes with a series of wild strikes but Hughes uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Li punishes Hughes's body with a nice straight punch. Li scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Li throws a right hand that Hughes ducks under and follows up with a left that Hughes also avoids with ease. Hughes throws a quick counter head kick but Li was just out of range. Li fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Li tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hughes was well out of range. Poor timing from Li. Hughes lands a head kick!

After the fight, Jeff Li was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
