Gerson wants to control from the top but Radovan keeps moving.

Gerson drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Gerson seems to have locked his on tight now - Radovan screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Gerson, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Ricardo Gerson!
Ricardo Gerson is the new middleweight champion!
A relieved looking Ricardo Gerson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
