That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Johnny Unkown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soares throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Khalil shoots in for a takedown but Soares shows good takedown defense.
A punch lands to the side of Khalil 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Khalil bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Khalil dives in and scores a takedown into Soares's guard.
Khalil throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Soares works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Soares really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Khalil. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
