This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Vanhoijdonk.
Vanhoijdonk tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rude swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rude looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Carvalho dips a shoulder and cracks Cortez with a mighty uppercut! Cortez falls back against the cage and Carvalho unloads with a barrage of strikes! Cortez is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Carvalho screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
