The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umaga rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mc Vetrol moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mc Vetrol throws a lazy right hand but Umaga sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Umaga fires out a quick counter leg kick but Mc Vetrol just manages to avoid it.
Mc Vetrol lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Umaga swinging wildly here.

Mc Vetrol tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Umaga paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mc Vetrol blocks the body kick.
Umaga gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mc Vetrol.
Umaga avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mc Vetrol throws a looping overhand right but Umaga ducks down to avoid it.
Mc Vetrol shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Umaga slips a jab from Mc Vetrol.
A punch lands to the side of Mc Vetrol 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mc Vetrol throws a hook to the side of Umaga's head but Umaga sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mc Vetrol scores with a decent looking hook.
Umaga tries to score with a low kick but Mc Vetrol moves his leg out of the way.

Mc Vetrol feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Umaga sprawling to the canvas! Umaga rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mc Vetrol finish him?!

Umaga is rocked!

Umaga walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Umaga limp body while Mc Vetrol jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Mitchel Thompson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

The Kid digs a right hand underneath Lealofi's ribcage. Lealofi let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Lealofi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. The Kid manages to get himself to full guard.

Helm kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Spazzin - Gary Podunk. The crowd seem to be enjoying Mousse's choice of entrance music: Le Boudin. On his way into the cage it seems that James Helm has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily James Helm seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Horrible takedown attempt by Pinaglabanan or perhaps it was just good defense by Vader , which made it look bad.
Vader appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Vader ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vader has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Sten covers up and Ibaka unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

After winning the bout, Serge Ibaka thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
