The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cuevas tries to sprawl but Calvancante drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Cuevas is looking to escape.

Calvancante is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cuevas defends it well.
Calvancante prevents Cuevas from standing back up.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cuevas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cuevas wants it to stay on the feet.

Well Wayne has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
