Carvalho comes into a darkened arena with his song building. DOLLADREW smoking a blunt drinking a beer!! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Smith shoots and misses
and Carvalho connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Carvalho moves into the clinch.
Carvalho throws a punch but it's blocked by Smith.
Smith is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Carvalho's coach down at Amsterdam MMA gym - $ 45 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Carvalho's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Carvalho swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Smith's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
A left hand lands to the body for Carvalho.
Carvalho lands with a light punch inside.
Smith drops down looking for an ankle pick but Carvalho pulls his leg out and moves away.

Carvalho fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Smith, pushing him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carvalho has a couple of punches blocked by Smith.
Carvalho makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Smith drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Carvalho lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Smith backwards.

Smith is working for takedown but Carvalho is calmly controlling the position for now.
Carvalho gets through Smith's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Smith is breathing heavily.
Carvalho lands a body punch in the clinch.
Carvalho lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Carvalho lands with a left to the head.
Carvalho lands a hook that snaps the head of Smith backwards.

Carvalho lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Carvalho digs a right hand into Smith's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Smith's gas tank.

Carvalho pushes Smith back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Carvalho works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Carvalho dips a shoulder and cracks Smith with a mighty uppercut! Smith falls back against the cage and Carvalho unloads with a barrage of strikes! Smith is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Carvalho screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

After the fight, Drew Carvalho was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
