The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ramos is looking to take a break and control but Gan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gan is trying to stand up here but Ramos is controlling him well.
Ramos wants to pass to mount but Gan is defending the position.

Gan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ramos . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ramos lands a nice short elbow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Traylor keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Simpson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Traylor eats them both and turns towards Simpson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Traylor misses with a head kick.
Traylor ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Simpson misses the shot to the body.
Simpson works the jab nicely.

It looks like Slade Traylor has been cut.
Simpson looks to land a left hand but Traylor moved out of range nicely.
Simpson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Donk. Traylor catches Simpson right on the button with a cross.
Traylor ducks right into an uppercut from Simpson.
Traylor misses with the combination.

and Traylor counters with a left to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Simpson loads up on a big right hand but Traylor slips the punch.
Traylor fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Simpson on the side of the head.

It looks like Dylan Simpson has been cut.
Simpson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Traylor back to the cage. Simpson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Traylor keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Traylor darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Simpson throws a combination that misses
and Traylor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Traylor defending well as Simpson loads up on a big left hand.

Traylor plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Simpson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Traylor.
Traylor throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Simpson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Traylor avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Simpson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Traylor's coach down at HWP Forcefield was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Traylor's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Simpson misses with a few strikes there.
Traylor slips a jab and a cross from Simpson.
Traylor lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Simpson is breathing heavily.
Traylor feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Simpson's calf.
Donk. Traylor catches Simpson right on the button with a cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Traylor moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Traylor feints and then cracks Simpson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Simpson down.
Traylor throws a shot from downtown. Simpson moves away and avoids it.
Traylor moves out of range of the body kick from Simpson.
Traylor wants to counter the offense by Simpson and move into the clinch position.
Traylor slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Dylan Simpson's cut is getting worse.

Traylor lands a big uppercut and Simpson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Simpson looks OK. Traylor waves Simpson back to his feet!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

and Traylor counters with a nice right hand that sends Simpson toppling to the canvas! Simpson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Traylor finish him?!

Traylor lands a nice hook to Simpson's body. Simpson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Oh Simpson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Traylor dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Dylan Simpson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Traylor circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Simpson to the canvas! Simpson doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Traylor keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Johnson connects with the punch.
Johnson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Johnson.
Yon Po misses with a low kick.
A shot to the liver by Johnson. Beautiful body shot.

Johnson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Yon Po to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Johnson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Johnson has his foot on Yon Po's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yon Po works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yon Po wanted to stand there but Johnson had control of the position.
My spies in LeBeau Ground Fighting inform me that Yon Po has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Yon Po has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Johnson to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Yon Po is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Johnson pulls down on the head and he's put Yon Po to sleep! This one is all over!

A less than humble Kevin Johnson misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
