With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Toni creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Toni's coach down at Elite Fighting Temple was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Toni's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Toldiett wants to stay close but Toni steps back to make room for something. Toldiett seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Toni and Toldiett drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

Pedan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Pedan rushes Jasper and presses him up against the ropes.
Pedan is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Pedan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

I was talking to Jasper's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Jasper chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pedan can pounce on him.
Pedan swats away the attempt to clinch by Jasper.
Jasper shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pedan as he avoids it easily.

Chris Davison decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Alistair Overeem was interviewed post fight and said 'I would just like to thank all my fans , my coaches , my sponsers and i'm sure i'l bevback stronger and hungrier than ever '.

Sakata cracks Zilla with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Zilla looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Sakata finish him?

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zilla walks straight into a right hand from Sakata - that's dropped him! Sakata jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Zilla from any more punishment! Zilla complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mitsuomi Sakata!
