Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Face in the Sand. St John is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Bitch is back. Fred Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St John tries to clinch but Jones moves away
and Jones counters with a straight right hand.
St John doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.

St John pushes Jones up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of St John backwards.
Jones landing knees to the head.

Jones is trying to trip St John. He has hold of a leg but St John is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jones persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Jones connects with a couple of short punches.
St John really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jones postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

St John looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jones passes into half guard.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

St John is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jones pulls his head out easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jones is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jones has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can St John defend it? Jones steps over the head and cranks it - St John is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Jones!

Silakka has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Silakka manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Simo Silakka dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Oh Samani is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silakka lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Silakka feints and then cracks Samani's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Samani down.

Silakka darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Samani's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Silakka before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

Pitbull goes for a double leg but Delon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Delon continues to drive forward.
