The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shepherd shoots for a double leg takedown but kamitura sprawls well. He's pushed Shepherd's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Horrible takedown by kamitura or perhaps it was just good defense by Shepherd which made him look bad.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shepherd looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
