The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fist avoids it really well and circles away.
Sandman misses with a body shot.
Fist scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Nice takedown defense from Fist. No joy for Sandman on that attempt.
Sandman shoots in for a takedown but Fist shows good takedown defense.
Fist's coach down at Morbid Conditioning School $1000 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fist's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The Sandman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sandman closes the distance and clinches up with Fist, looking for a takedown. Sandman pushes Fist against the cage but Fist circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Dren batters Gongor with a massive right followed by a huge left! Gongor is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Dren lands a final crushing right hand to drop Gongor to the mat with a gruesome thud! Dren is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Troeng ducks under a wild hook from Fray.
Fray throws a lazy uppercut
and Troeng counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Fray throws a looping overhand right but Troeng ducks down to avoid it.
Troeng appears to be looking for a big counter.
Troeng lands a jab to Fray's midsection.
Fray throws a good cross that connects.
Troeng catches Fray with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like Jonqw Fray has been cut.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Fray.

Fray throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Troeng tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fray is in Troeng's guard.
Fray prevents Troeng from getting back to his feet.
Fray is standing up over Troeng. Troeng looks to escape but Fray dives into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fray postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Fray cracks Troeng with a big elbow.

Fray is chipping away with strikes.
Troeng regains half guard.
Troeng tries to kick Fray off but Fray keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Troeng blocking the ground and pound attempt from Fray.
Troeng is looking for a sweep. Fray is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Fray is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Fray is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Fray frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Troeng in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Troeng tries to lock up and control but Fray gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Fray lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Fray lands a couple of good shots and Troeng has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Troeng trying to control the hands but Fray won't let him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Troeng wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fray throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Troeng!
