Rich shoots in but no luck this time.
Villa has a takedown stuffed.
Some wild striking there from Rich.

Richy Rich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rich darts in looking for a takedown but Villa gets double underhooks and turns Rich into the cage.
Villa looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Villa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Rich takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Rich's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Villa connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rich scrambles back to his feet.

Horrible takedown attempt by Rich or perhaps it was just good defense by Villa, which made it look bad.
Villa throws a series of strikes that have Rich backpedaling.
Rich shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Villa but Villa pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Villa ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Villa stuns Rich with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Villa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rich swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Villa feints a jab promting Rich to slip. Villa then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Rich slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Villa gets in close and tags Rich with a short punch that almost sends Rich to the mat! Oh Rich is in big trouble! He turns his back on Villa, trying to create some distance but Villa rushes him, striking wildly and Rich goes down! The referee tackles Villa into the cage to end the fight! Villa is one violent man!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jules Winnfield.
