Gor misses with a takedown attempt - Ioanide sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gor shoots in looking for a takedown. Ioanide tries to sprawl out of it but Gor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ioanide manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Gor closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gor lands in his opponent's guard.
Gor looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Ioanide is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gor defends well.

We've been hearing reports that Germano has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Akiyama feints and as Germano raises his hands in defense, Akiyama changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Germano will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendry changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vaughan tries to avoid it but Hendry manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vaughan to the ground. Vaughan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hendry takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Vaughan tries to sprawl but Hendry drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Hendry not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Vaughan has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hendry working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hendry gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Vaughan gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Stamatis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Audiomachine - Earth Shaker. Stamatis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Amadi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stamatis somewhat.
Stamatis throws a hook but Amadi avoids it easily.
Stamatis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Amadi as he jumps to the side.

It looks like Angelos Stamatis has been cut.
The fighters circle, before Amadi throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Stamatis's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Amadi lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Mosi Amadi!
Mosi Amadi made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I was just starting to boil, just starting to get warmed up. After I hit him good couple of times, I knew it was just a matter of time.'.
