Aye is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Aye looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Aye is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Lucas Jr is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ichimaru lands with an uppercut that bounces Ward off the cage and back into range.

Ichimaru tries to sprawl but Ward drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Ward decides to stand and escape the position.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ward crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ichimaru - the referee stops the clock and Ward gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ichimaru. Ward manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Ichimaru counters with a leg kick.

Ward tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ichimaru has been working on his boxing with his coaches at SWF GYM - JUDO 'n' MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Ichimaru connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Ward looks for a takedown but Ichimaru sprawls well.

The fighters circle, before Ichimaru throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Ward's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Ichimaru lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

A relieved looking Kegon Ichimaru thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Velcic checks a leg kick.

Velcic throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Prado tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Velcic is in Prado's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Velcic loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Prado is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Velcic is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Prado stalks Velcic and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Velcic's face. Velcic staggers backwards, shaken.
Prado wants to land a leg kick but Velcic is out of range.
Fernando Prado is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Prado jabs Velcic right on the nose. Velcic blinks but takes it well.

Velcic fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Prado to the ground. Velcic is now in Prado's guard.

Prado utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

That was a close round but I would say that Fernando Prado will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Velcic shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Velcic was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

That was a close second round but I would say that Fernando Prado will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Prado wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Velcic.
Davor Velcic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Prado sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

And that's the end of the fight!
Davor Velcic comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Prado has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Patterson shoots for a double leg takedown but Rumi sprawls well. He's pushed Patterson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
