Horton bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jeffries's head.
Horton looks to land a combination but Jeffries avoids it well.
Jeffries fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jeffries throws a right and a left that Horton avoids nicely.
No joy there for Jeffries, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Officer catches Corvi right on the button with a cross.
Corvi darts in looking for a takedown but Officer gets double underhooks and turns Corvi into the cage.
Still in the clinch, Officer scores with a nice short uppercut.
Officer lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Officer has a couple of punches blocked by Corvi.
Officer stops a takedown attempt from Corvi.
Corvi blocks an uppercut.
Corvi has Officer pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Officer manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Police Officer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodolfo Corvi.
Officer has a couple of punches blocked by Corvi.
Officer misses with some punches.
Corvi is trying to drag Officer to the mat but Officer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Officer swings wildly with an uppercut but Corvi uses good head movement to avoid it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Corvi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Corvi goes for a takedown in the clinch but Officer prevents it.

Corvi drops down looking for an ankle pick but Officer pulls his leg out and moves away.
Officer circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Corvi to the canvas! Corvi doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Officer keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

We've been hearing good reports from Hikaru's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

I think Johnson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to 2pac & Dr.Dre - California Love. Cronos has chosen Sandstorm as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd.
