Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wai Man Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aimo Pamaus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Wai Man Li.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noonan throws a jab when Tyson was well out of range.
Tyson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

It looks like Michael Noonan has been cut.
Noonan closes the distance and clinches up with Tyson, looking for a takedown. Noonan pushes Tyson against the cage but Tyson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tyson loads up on a big right hand but Noonan slips the punch.
Noonan slips a straight right by Tyson.
Noonan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tyson.
Tyson lands with a slapping head kick.
Tyson looks to throw the jab but Noonan is out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tyson. Noonan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tyson throws a body punch but Noonan moves out of range.
Noonan with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Noonan scores with the left hand. Tyson knows he should have avoided that one.
Noonan ducks right into an uppercut from Tyson.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tyson throws a nice outside leg kick.
Tyson moves out of range as Noonan throws a body kick.
Noonan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tyson.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tyson throws a lazy body kick
and Noonan counters with a low kick, right behind Tyson 's knee.
Noonan steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Tyson. That one must have hurt.
Tyson lands a jab to the nose.

Michael Noonan's cut is getting worse.
Noonan on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Tyson. Tyson obviously looking to wear him down.
Tyson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Noonan thumps Tyson with a low kick.
Rocky Tyson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Noonan has a takedown stuffed.
Noonan throws a push kick but Tyson slaps the foot to one side.
Tyson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A low kick from Noonan is predictable there
and Tyson counters with a leg kick.

Noonan gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Noonan throws a leg kick but Tyson sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Tyson throws a push kick but Noonan slaps the foot to one side.

Tyson sends Noonan crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Tyson is motioning to the referee to let Noonan up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Noonan is rocked!

Jeez, Michael Noonan's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Michael Noonan's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Rocky Tyson!
Rocky Tyson is the new heavyweight champion!
A relieved looking Rocky Tyson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Michael Noonan stepped up to the mic, saying 'Damn cuts...'.
