Undercard bout

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tien Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Time Bang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Time Bang was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jaa's waist but Jaa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bang off to one side.

Bang tries to keep at a distance but Jaa has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jaa scores with a knee to the head.

It looks like Time Bang has been cut.
Bang tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jaa just stands there and leans against the cage.
Come on Jaa - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Jaa lands an elbow inside.

Jaa unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Jaa stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bang has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jaa after a bit of a struggle.
Tien Jaa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Time Bang.

Bang is rocked!
Bang looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jaa is fending him off so far but Bang persists. Nope, Jaa circles away and we're back to standing.
Bang is still on wobbly legs! Can Jaa finish him?
Jaa tries to clinch but Bang is having none of it.
Bang dives in and grabs Jaa's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jaa pushes down on Bang's head and hops out.
Bang seems to have recovered his senses.

Jaa closes the distance and pushes Bang back into the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jaa drops Bang with a big knee straight up the middle! Bang is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Time Bang's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaughnessy misses the shot to the body.
The fighters circling - Shaughnessy throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cael Shaughnessy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mosaddegh slips under a jab from Shaughnessy.
Mosaddegh lands a lovely overhand right.
Shaughnessy thumps Mosaddegh with a low kick.
Mosaddegh misses with a body punch
and Shaughnessy counters with a straight right hand.
Mosaddegh throws a looping overhand right but Shaughnessy ducks down to avoid it.
Mosaddegh misses with a looping left.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mosaddegh. Shaughnessy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mosaddegh takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Mosaddegh ducks under a wild hook from Shaughnessy.
Shaughnessy catches Mosaddegh with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Mosaddegh definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Mosaddegh bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shaughnessy's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shaughnessy throws a nice looking combination but Mosaddegh bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Shaughnessy takes a swing at Mosaddegh's ribcage but misses.
Shaughnessy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mosaddegh.
Mosaddegh avoids a kick to the body.
A low kick from Mosaddegh misses
and Shaughnessy counters with a straight right hand.
Shaughnessy swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shaughnessy scores with a shot to the body.
Mosaddegh takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Mosaddegh drops Shaughnessy with a left and a right! Oh, Shaughnessy is hurt - Mosaddegh dives into side control looking to finish!

Shaughnessy is rocked!

It looks like Cael Shaughnessy has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Mosaddegh lands a strong strike to the head of Shaughnessy. That's dazed him! Mosaddegh looking to finish here. Shaughnessy is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Mosaddegh lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

A relieved looking Mohsen Mosaddegh thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
