Brandon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Li as he avoids it easily.
Li has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Brandon is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Nice uppercut lands for Li. That snapped Brandon's head back.
Brandon is looking to clinch.

Brandon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Li manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson lands with a nice body punch.

Johnson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Johnson lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Jankowski up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Johnson from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Jankowski's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
