The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNulty throws out a powerful jab.
McNulty lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Polara misses with a takedown attempt

and McNulty holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Polara stalling in the clinch but McNulty improves position.
McNulty is trying to break the clinch but Polara is controlling him.
Polara is looking for a takedown.

McNulty pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McNulty scores with a crisp jab that stopped Polara in his tracks.
McNulty misses with a two punch combination.
McNulty digs a good body shot into Polara's ribs.
McNulty misses with a head kick.
McNulty throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Polara on the side of the head.
Polara darts in trying to clinch
and McNulty counters with a one-two to the body.
Jimmy McNulty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Polara takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A nice inside leg kick there by McNulty. That's going to slow Polara down.

Jimmy McNulty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xaro Polara.
McNulty dances in with a quick combination. Polara is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from McNulty snaps Polara's head back. Polara stumbles backwards against the cage. McNulty steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Polara's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Polara just didn't come prepared.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basilone just misses with a punch to the body.

Basilone closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gun to the mat! Gun manages to get full guard.
Basilone wants to control from the top but Gun keeps moving.

Gun working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Basilone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Basilone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
