17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Barnett! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Francis DeMontford and Hugh Johnson.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kimura throws a right hand that misses
and Barnett counters with a crisp one two that drops Kimura! Barnett thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Kimura to his feet! Kimura is in big trouble! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kimura swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kimura closes the distance looking to clinch and Barnett counters with an inside leg kick. Kimura moves to clinch but Barnett breaks away and Barnett counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kimura shoots and misses

and Barnett counters with a left to the body. Barnett throws a quick inside leg kick. Kimura is breathing heavily. Barnett works the jab nicely. Kimura fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kimura throws the left hand but Barnett avoids the punch easily. We've been hearing reports that Kimura has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Barnett shoots in and gets a takedown into Kimura's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Kimura can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Barnett controls the pace.

Barnett has hold of Kimura's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kimura manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones pushes Nuclear up against the cage in a clinch. Jones changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nuclear fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown but Nuclear manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jones shoots for a takedown but Nuclear saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Jones. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones working the ground and pound but Nuclear is defending the strikes. Jones working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

The referee takes a look at Nuclear to see if he's OK. Justin Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jones scoring with punches from side control. Nuclear is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Jones with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Nuclear wants to stand but Jones is controlling the position.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khalifa blocks a jab. Khalifa throws a nice looking combination but Kirijenko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kirijenko looks to throw the jab but Khalifa is out of range. Khalifa takes a body punch but keeps moving. Kirijenko tries to score a power double leg takedown but Khalifa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kirijenko somewhat. Kirijenko swings away with a leg kick that misses. Kirijenko throws a right and a left that Khalifa avoids nicely. Kirijenko scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Khalifa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Atsushi struggling a bit here. Marciano tries to move to mount but Atsushi blocks the move with his legs. Marciano trying to control the position but Atsushi is working away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Marciano has knee on belly and moves into mount. Marciano scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Atsushi?
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Rocky Marciano really dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A solid leg kick lands there for Atsushi.
Marciano tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Atsushi is looking to land body kicks. Marciano connects with a right hand. Atsushi shakes it off. Marciano throws a good cross that connects.
Marciano tries to clinch there but Atsushi circles away.
Marciano scores with a jab to the head.
Atsushi throws a low kick but it's checked well by Marciano. Atsushi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Atsushi misses with a leg kick. Atsushi lands with a thumping leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marciano throws a left that rocks Atsushi and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Marciano dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Atsushi regain composure!
Marciano creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Atsushi sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Marciano throws a strike aimed at the side of Atsushi's head but Atsushi avoids it well. Marciano lands a few punches from side control.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Marciano scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Atsushi is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Marciano can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rocky Marciano! Rocky Marciano is the new lightweight champion! Rocky Marciano decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
