The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sobando feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Gray looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mick Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Farrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mick Ward had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Farrow bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ward's head backwards.
Farrow showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ward.
Ward throws a right hand that Farrow ducks under and follows up with a left that Farrow also avoids with ease.
Farrow works the jab nicely.
Ward throws a left and a right that both miss
and Farrow counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ward thinking.
Sloppy strikes from Ward. Those never looked like landing.
Farrow throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Farrow cracks Ward with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ward looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Farrow finish him?

Mike Matthews was interviewed post fight and said 'I will take alot from this loss, but a rematch is on the cards, maybe next time he wont be so lucky'.

Hill lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
McDaniels's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hill under the eye.
McDaniels throws a series of punches but Hill avoids them all with ease.
McDaniels lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hill lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McDaniels circles away quickly and effectively.
McDaniels feints a jab promting Hill to slip. McDaniels then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hill slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McDaniels throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hill on the side of the head.

McDaniels scores with a hook to the body. Hill takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
McDaniels just misses with a punch to the body.
Hill cracks McDaniels with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
McDaniels works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
McDaniels slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hill walks into a stiff left hand from McDaniels.
McDaniels gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Hill lands with a right that hurts McDaniels. McDaniels looks to clinch but Hill throws a short knee that drops McDaniels. This one is all over!
