Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hideki Masada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Zane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masada comes to the ring accompanied by "Tokyo Drift (Restage Remix)" by Teriyaki Boyz. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masada scores with a head kick.
Zane throws a series of punches but Masada avoids them all with ease.
Zane throws a lazy head kick

and Masada counters by clinching up.
Masada is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Zane is defending well.

Masada pulls guard successfully.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Zane missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Masada kicks Zane off and gets to his feet.
Masada fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Masada shoots in and gets a takedown into Zane's guard.
Masada sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Zane's guard.

Masada is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Zane can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hideki Masada will probably get the nod.

Chan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Alves to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Chan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Alves pulls down on the head and he's put Chan to sleep! This one is all over!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Shrab Kabovik.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Defensor cracks Shinoki with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Shinoki has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Defensor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Defensor has his hands clasped together but Shinoki extends and breaks Defensor's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Shinoki .
