 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Hanga does no damage. Hanga looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Cienfuegos misses with a two punch combination.
Hanga drives through with a takedown into guard. Cienfuegos is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hanga is controlling him. Cienfuegos tries to strike from the bottom.
Cienfuegos wants to stand and escape but Hanga is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cienfuegos is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Cienfuegos tries to land knees in the clinch but Hanga avoids the damage to the body.

I was talking to Cienfuegos's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Cienfuegos is trying to break the clinch but Hanga has him pressed against the cage. Hanga on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Cienfuegos can't find room to land a body shot as Hanga controls the action.

Hanga manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Cienfuegos on his heels. He'll look to pass Cienfuegos's guard now, I'm sure. Cienfuegos is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hanga is controlling him.

Cienfuegos has momentary wrist control but Hanga slips an elbow through the middle. Cienfuegos is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Cienfuegos trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Hanga working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cienfuegos's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hanga accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Cienfuegos is looking to stand up but Hanga isn't so interested in that idea.

Cienfuegos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hanga prevents Cienfuegos from getting back to his feet. Hanga has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hanga sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cienfuegos's guard. Cienfuegos tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Hanga manages to move to mount!

 It looks like Adam Hanga has been cut. Nice uppercut there from Cienfuegos. Sloppy strikes from Cienfuegos. Those never looked like landing. No joy there for Cienfuegos, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Adam Hanga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cienfuegos explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hanga slips a jab and a cross from Cienfuegos.
Hanga shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cienfuegos as he jumps to the side. Cienfuegos tries to clinch up but Hanga circles away and keeps his distance. Cienfuegos tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hanga manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. We've been informed that Hanga has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Cienfuegos tries a head kick but it misses.
Cienfuegos connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Hanga lands a jab-cross combination. No luck for Hanga with that takedown attempt. Ramiro Cienfuegos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Hanga. Cienfuegos throws a head kick but Hanga moves out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Cienfuegos misses with a jab, cross combination.

Hanga looks up at the clock and then as Cienfuegos takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Hanga smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Hanga closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cienfuegos's guard. Cienfuegos throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Hanga gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Hanga apologises and we restart here on the feet.

so Mackenzie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Mackenzie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Miranda knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mackenzie on the ground. Mackenzie tries to free his leg and advance position but Miranda is retaining full guard. Mackenzie forces his way into half guard.

 OK we're going to have a standup here. Jake Mackenzie hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Miranda fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Miranda missing with a left hand there. Mackenzie was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. The fight stays on the outside here - Miranda looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Oliveira feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Oliveira controls Santos momentarily but Santos frees himself. Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but Oliveira is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Santos is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Oliveira has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Santos is looking to defend but Oliveira has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Santos! Oliveira pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Santos taps out and this one is all over!

Laguera kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rev Theory - Hell Yeah. Alexei Laguera had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Asenciao wants to clinch but Laguera slips to the side and Laguera counters with a head kick. That will keep Asenciao thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Laguera misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Asenciao.
