1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kyle Clow! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clow fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Apple, pushing him back against the cage. Apple really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Clow struggles to land a body shot inside as Apple controls his hands.
Clow pulls guard. Apple might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Clow working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Apple. Clow wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Apple is posturing up here but Clow has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Apple tries to roll out but it's too tight and Apple has to tap! Slick submission there by Clow!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wolf jabs at Kowalski's body. Kowalski tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Wolf closes the distance and clinches. Wolf misses with a hook to the ribs.
Wolf lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Kowalski drops down looking for an ankle pick but Wolf pulls his leg out and moves away.
Wolf tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kowalski was well out of range. Poor timing from Wolf. Wolf throws a shot from downtown. Kowalski moves away and avoids it. Wolf shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kowalski manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Wolf showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Wolf thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wolf sitting in guard, not really doing much. Wolf throws a big elbow that misses. Kowalski has momentary wrist control but Wolf slips an elbow through the middle. Wolf postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Wolf working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Wolf is pushing down on Kowalski's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kowalski is fighting to maintain full guard but Wolf has managed to sneak the leg through. Kowalski tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wolf in particular looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kowalski keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Wolf controlling the pace. Wolf slips a nice elbow through Kowalski's hands, connecting with Kowalski's forehead. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kowalski is looking to control Wolf's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kowalski avoid being mounted? Wolf seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Nice strikes from Wolf there. Wolf controlling the action here. Wolf is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Kowalski is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Wolf scores with a couple of nice shots. Ground and pound from Wolf. Wolf working over Kowalski with some ground and pound. Kowalski looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Wolf working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wolf in particular looking to stall. Wolf lands with a punch from half guard. Wolf landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wolf is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wolf lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Kowalski is rocked! Wolf has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wolf loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Kowalski scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Wolf land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Wolf stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robert Wolf! A very excited looking Robert Wolf made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Badajos fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vos, pushing him back against the cage. Badajos breaks the clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vos has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Vos tries to keep at a distance but Badajos has taken the fight into the clinch. Badajos has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Vos clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Badajos is trying to stick to Vos's back but Vos is turning into Badajos. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Badajos's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Vos. Vos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Badajos swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vos trying to control the position from guard on top but Badajos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Badajos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vos on the ground. Vos slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Badajos looks to move to half guard but instead Vos has passed into mount! Damn! Vos has control of Badajos's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Badajos regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Vos thowing shots but they're missing. Vos working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Badajos turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Vos off and cradles Badajos's limp body as Vos celebrates with his corner.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Myers blocks an elbow strike from Heavy.

But no, Heavy has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Myers but great work by Heavy. Myers takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Heavy trying to control the position but Myers is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Myers tries to get back to half guard but can't. Heavy throws a strike aimed at the side of Myers's head but Myers avoids it well. Myers struggling a bit here. Heavy scores with punches from side control. Heavy tries to score with some ground and pound. Myers controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Heavy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Myers, who protects the arm well. Heavy is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Myers has escaped the position, nice work there.

Nice move by Heavy! Heavy postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Myers is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Heavy, into his guard.

Myers working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Myers content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Myers accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Heavy wants to stand and escape but Myers is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chael Heavy. I think Heavy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The fight stays on the outside here - Nicolopus looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nicolopus tries to clinch up. Calvancante throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nicolopus tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Calvancante is in Nicolopus's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Calvancante avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
