After initially coming in at 188.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The fighters circling - Palmer throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Palmer has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Barnes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Palmer.
Palmer looks to land a left hand but Barnes moved out of range nicely.
Barnes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Barnes bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Palmer's head backwards.
