The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vickers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vickers has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Noffsinger stalling against the cage.
Noffsinger misses with a punch on the inside.
Vickers tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Vickers is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Noffsinger is defending well for now.

Noffsinger turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Noffsinger manages to end up in side control.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
