Thornton's coach down at Cartel Muerte was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Thornton's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

In defeat, Nelly Haynes stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm sorry I let down my fans, but I'm more sorry to the next guy I'm fighting cause I'ma bringing down the hell on him to make up for today'.

Laiveta moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Laiveta checks the leg kick nicely there.
Laiveta lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Laiveta is looking to slow Moreland down with leg kicks.
Laiveta keeps Moreland at a distance using the push kick.
Laiveta lands a head kick. Moreland smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like William Moreland has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Moreland cracks a nice hook into Laiveta's ribs.
Moreland throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Laiveta has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Moreland moves out of range of the body kick from Laiveta.
Moreland has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Moreland throws a low kick but Laiveta avoids it.

and Laiveta counters with an inside leg kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Laiveta, right into the meat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
That kick from Laiveta tenderised Moreland's leg. Moreland is trying to keep his angry face on.
Moreland takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Laiveta and Moreland are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Laiveta throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Moreland into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Laiveta knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
