Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Irving Massimo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Irving Massimo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 31 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Bear! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Irving Massimo! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Massimo misses with a takedown attempt - Bear sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bear fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Massimo feints and as Bear raises his hands in defense, Massimo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bear looking to hit a scissor sweep but Massimo is one step ahead there. Massimo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bear is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bear controls Massimo momentarily but Massimo frees himself. Bear looking for a sweep. Not yet Bear, not yet. Massimo postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bear manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Massimo manages to get himself to full guard.
Massimo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Bear is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Bear is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Massimo is just riding it out for now. Bear eventually gives up the hold. Massimo wants to get back to full guard. Bear is keen to just control but Massimo is a slippery customer. Massimo is looking to control Bear's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Massimo avoid being mounted?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bear seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

 We're going to have a standup here because Max Bear wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Bear moves in looking to clinch but Massimo pushes him off. Nice sprawl there from Massimo as Bear shoots in.
Bear gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bear is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Massimo postures up.

That was a close round but I would say that Max Bear will probably get the nod. That's time! Bear's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bear is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Massimo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. BOOM! Massimo connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Massimo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uros shoots in but Lauringer avoids the takedown attempt easily. Uros defending well as Lauringer loads up on a big left hand. Uros has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Lauringer missing with a left hand there. Uros was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Lauringer lands a jab to Uros's midsection. Lauringer slaps away a takedown attempt from Uros, before circling back to the center of the mat. Uros ducks under a wild hook from Lauringer. Lauringer misses with an uppercut. Lauringer lands the left hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lauringer avoids a punch combination nicely.

Lauringer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Uros moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lauringer throws a hook to the side of Uros's head but Uros sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Uros shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lauringer but Lauringer pushes him off and we're back to square one. Alfa Uros is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fight stays on the outside here - Uros looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Uros fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ewert Lauringer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alfa Uros.

Lauringer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Uros keeps working.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Lauringer remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Lauringer throwing strikes but Uros manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Lauringer is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Uros sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Lauringer is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lauringer is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Uros's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ewert Lauringer. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lauringer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Coryatt tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Katchenko is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Coryatt buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Coryatt!! Coryatt is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Katchenko throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Barreda comes to the cage accompanied by Rockstar. Mendez has chosen Trap Door as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tiago Mendez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesus Barreda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 24 - 0, fighting out of London, Tiago Mendez! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barreda cracks Mendez with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Mendez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Barreda wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Barreda throws a jab but it's blocked by Mendez. We've been informed that Mendez has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. A slapping leg kick lands for Mendez.
Barreda ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Mendez shoots in for a takedown but Barreda shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Barreda takes the fight into the clinch.

Barreda moves into the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Mendez's face as he tries to break the clinch. Barreda manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Barreda gets in close and instigates a clinch. Barreda tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Mendez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Barreda gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Barreda just leaning against Mendez, taking a breather. A short right from Barreda. A short right from Barreda.

I was talking to Barreda's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Barreda doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Mendez shoots in for a takedown but Barreda shows good takedown defense. Mendez moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Jab, jab by Barreda - just one landing.
 It looks like Tiago Mendez has been cut. Barreda wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Barreda has Mendez pressed against the cage, preventing Mendez from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Barreda dips to his left and cracks Mendez with an uppercut! Barreda swats away the attempt to clinch by Mendez. Mendez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Barreda circles away. Barreda looks to score with a jab to the body but Mendez is just out of range. Mendez shoots for a takedown but Barreda saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mendez. Nice cross by Barreda. Mendez is trying desperately to land a takedown but Barreda is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Mendez. Barreda cracks Mendez with a right hand to the side of the head. Barreda throws a right and a left that Mendez avoids nicely. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mendez. Nice cross by Barreda.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barreda fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mendez manages to avoid it. Mendez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Barreda. Barreda connects with a body shot that sends Mendez's belly button to the back. Barreda looks to score with a jab to the body but Mendez is just out of range. Barreda throws a nice looking combination but Mendez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Barreda tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mendez was well out of range. Poor timing from Barreda. Barreda swings for the body but Mendez moves out of range.
Barreda scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Barreda jabbing away but nothing is landing. Mendez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barreda tries to avoid it but Mendez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barreda to the ground. Barreda escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Barreda throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Oooooh!!! Barreda has knocked Mendez down with a huge combo! Barreda steps away and waves a wobbly Mendez back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Mendez is still on wobbly legs! Can Barreda finish him? Barreda throws a jab when Mendez was well out of range. Mendez finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Barreda's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Mendez falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

and Rodrigues counters with a lovely straight right hand! Dabrowski scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Rodrigues is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Dabrowski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rodrigues throws out the jab. Rodrigues uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dabrowski has time to react. Rodrigues throws a series of punches but Dabrowski moves out of range. Rodrigues misses with a few strikes there.

Dabrowski has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Dabrowski looks for the body kick but Rodrigues saw that one coming. Dabrowski uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rodrigues. Dabrowski lands a high kick!
