Riberio fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Rullis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Rullis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Riberio to the mat! Riberio manages to get full guard.
Rullis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Rullis wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Riberio's closed guard. He's half up but Riberio has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Riberio pivots and extends the arm, Rullis falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Riberio! Well done that man!

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Johnson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Austin on his heels. He'll look to pass Austin's guard now, I'm sure.

Austin has his feet on Johnson's thighs here. He's pushed Johnson off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Johnson screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Zack Taylor.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nazareth avoids it really well and circles away.

Rodrigues drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Nazareth wants to stand up but Rodrigues is controlling him.
Rodrigues slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
