The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyer tries to close the distance and clinch but Mahingi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mahingi connects with a good right hand that stumbles Meyer. Meyer circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Meyer is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Mahingi scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Meyer doesn't seem bothered though.
Mahingi works Meyer's body with a nice hook.
Meyer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mahingi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Meyer has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Meyer there as he acknowledges the shot.
Mahingi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mahingi wants it to stay on the feet.

Huerta fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Barnett to the ground. Huerta is now in Barnett's guard.
Huerta loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Barnett might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Huerta stands up and waves to Barnett to follow him.
Barnett takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Barnett tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Huerta swivels and escapes.
