Herst fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Samael sprawls well initially but Herst persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Herst thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Samael's head.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Herst lands a nice short elbow.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Herst working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

It looks like The Island King has been cut.
King tries to move into range but Grabowski moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
King shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Grabowski pinned against the cage. Grabowski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Grabowski throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
King shoots for a takedown but Grabowski saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
