The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Esteban connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Esteban throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Porter counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Porter fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Esteban looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Esteban takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Esteban wants to clinch but Porter slips to the side
and Esteban takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Javier Esteban has been cut.

and Porter counters with a straight that turns Esteban's legs to rubber! Porter pushes forward with more strikes and Esteban goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!

Johnson ducks under a wild hook from Gold.
Johnson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Johnson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gold.
Gold lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

It looks like John Johnson has been cut.
We've been told by Gold's head coaches at TAP ROOT -/- 10 Coaches / Great Sparring / Value that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and Johnson counters with a takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Johnson can't keep his opponent in guard - Gold advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Gold slips a nice elbow through Johnson's hands, connecting with Johnson's forehead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gold wants to work for an arm triangle but Johnson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Won Woo Kwon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Fragoso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kwon kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is History. Gary Fragoso struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Gary Fragoso enters the cage!

Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Gatherer screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
