Villasenor goes for a double leg but Average avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Average continues to drive forward.

Average is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Villasenor is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Phillips tries to clinch up but Strozyk circles away and keeps his distance.
Strozyk fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Phillips on the side of the head.

It looks like Trevor Phillips has been cut.
Strozyk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Strozyk tries to clinch but Phillips moves out of range.
Phillips gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Phillips is struggling to control the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Easy Win.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Win, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Kalkbrenner drops his hands momentarily and Machida takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Machida misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Machida blocks a low kick nicely.
Kalkbrenner has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

and Machida counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Machida wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Machida throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kalkbrenner stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Machida feints a jab promting Kalkbrenner to slip. Machida then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kalkbrenner slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Kalkbrenner takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Machida lands an overhand right.
Machida slips a jab from Kalkbrenner.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Machida uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kalkbrenner has time to react.

Kalkbrenner drops his hands momentarily. Machida doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Kalkbrenner staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Kalkbrenner doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

The Plumber has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
