The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sykes lands with an overhand left.
Sykes misses with a takedown attempt - Menezes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Sykes rushes Menezes and presses him up against the cage.
Menezes wants to break free but Sykes has control.
Menezes throws a head punch that misses.
Sykes keeps control of Menezes as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Sykes pulls guard effortlessly.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Sykes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Menezes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close second round but I would say that Bryan Menezes will probably get the nod.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Maynard looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Willis can't hide his disappointment, as Maynard celebrates the victory.

Vincent postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Duarte in real trouble here! The ref calls for Duarte to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
